Residential Treatment
Interested in Joining Our Programs? Here’s What You Need to Know:
Referrals: At this time, we primarily accept referrals from community-based frontline workers, such as NNADAP representatives, Mental Health Workers, Counsellors, etc., and from both Indigenous and Non-Indigenous Service Agencies.
Medical Considerations: At Native Horizons Treatment Centre, our foremost priority is to ensure the safety and well-being of our clients. While we strive to offer the highest quality care, please note the following important considerations:
- We are not a medically equipped facility, hence, we are unable to accommodate individuals on Methadone, Suboxone, Narcotics (such as Tylenol-3), Ativan, or any Anti-Psychotic medications.
- Applicants diagnosed with Bi-Polar Disorders, Personality Disorders, FAS/FASD, brain injuries, or those severely physically dependent are not accepted.
- Our commitment to deep, intense trauma work during the Residential Treatment Program can be both physically and emotionally demanding. Due to the profound nature of this therapeutic journey and potential implications on unborn children, we cannot accept pregnant women.
- We do not process referrals from medical professionals or medical facilities.
Your understanding and cooperation help us maintain a safe and supportive environment for everyone.

We learn to set and communicate boundaries, improving our respect for ourselves and others, and thereby enhancing our life quality.
- Engage in activities that promote self-awareness and personal growth, helping understand and navigate their family dynamics. Develop a sense of self-worth and confidence, separate from family challenges.
- Participate in sessions that enhance problem-solving abilities and decision-making skills. Learn to identify and express emotions in a healthy way, building emotional strength.
- Incorporate cultural teachings and practices to strengthen individual identity and cultural connections. Promote a sense of belonging and empowerment through group activities and cultural ceremonies.
